In the Craft Room

Projects with Martina

My friend, Marina, lives in Slovakia.  And she had the opportunity this fall to visit the US for a couple of months.  I am so thankful that I was able to spend lots of time with her.  Part of our time we spent doing crafts.  She loved it, especially since this isn't something that she has available for her to do back home.  Here are some pictures of our fun projects:

I apologize for the sideways pictures.  I can't really figure out how to rotate them right now.  Too tired to think about it, too!!!

Almost finished with teacher gifts for Spring 2012!

Well, I have been working on these cards sets a few minutes here and a few minutes there, so I only have one more set to go.  They are so quick and easy with the SU! rub-ons!  Here are some pictures of the latest 2 sets of cards.  As you can tell, so far I have used one set of rub-ons to make 2 sets of cards (with plenty of rub-ons left over, I might add!).

Each set has 5 cards and envelopes in it, so look at the pictures with the first two together and the second two together.  I have so many more rub-ons and I found some glass votive candle holders, so I am thinking of trying to make a votive to match each card set.  Now to figure out if rub-ons will work on glass!  If it works, I'll post some pictures of them!

Happy Crafting to you today!

Craft time with Christine

I spent some time with my stamping/scrapbooking friend, Christine, again last week.  We are always making wonderful new things.  But I just LOVED this frame that we made last week.  I even took some pictures.  I think one of the reasons that I am so happy with it is because when we started, we had NO idea what we were going to do....we didn't even know what colors we would use!  How do you think it turned out?

I know the flash is bad on the second picture, but you can see the shiny gold embossed letters that we did better in this picture.

Have a great day!

Teacher gifts continued

Here are the pictures:

These used the Dotted Designs set of rub-ons, but I did some different things with them for this set of cards!  I'm on a roll with these cards.  Unfortunately, I can only make one more set before I have to order more of the note cards from Stampin' Up!.

More January 2012 Projects

I've been working on more cards to put in the cute little tins for teacher's end of year gifts.  Here are pictures of set #2 made with retired SU! rub-ons called Dotted Designs, I believe.

January 2012 Projects

A little card making over the holidays seemed to be in order.  So I have started on end of year teacher gifts for my girls' teachers---I'm ahead of the game, but I wonder how long that will last!

These are little card tins.  I used great (retired) Stampin' Up! rub-ons called "Dots and Designs," plus a little tin that I bought ages ago from SU!, and little note card packs.  This tin has 5 cards with envelopes, and I plan to make six more of these for teachers!  I will be using different rub-ons because I only had one pack of these (which is enough for 2 sets of 5 cards, plus the tin).  Here is a look at the first set:

I have cropped the last picture here, but for some reason the cropped version does not show up on the blog...  Oh, well, another glitch to figure out.  For now, just enjoy these pictures like they are.
